The Restaurant
The Fox is relaxed & informal with a lively atmosphere. The
bar is
generally the focal point, as this is where you will receive your spoon
number, drinks & menu, as well as place any food orders.
If there are tables free in the restaurant, then you may eat where you like.
If we are full, we will put you on the waiting list when you come to the bar
& leave you to chat, peruse the menu & drink in the large waiting area
until we have a table ready for you. Once you order is placed, we will bring
you a basket of fresh bread (baked daily in our kitchens) with olive oil &
balsamic vinegar. You can also get marinated olives & home roasted almonds at
the bar. Feel free to help yourself to water from the water station. Jugs &
glasses are provided along with ice.
Throughout the restaurant, you will find works of art by local artist Ari Shand.
All of the paintings
are for sale, just ask a member of staff. Ari is also responsible for the attractive
painted rugs on the restaurant floor.
The mosaics you will find around the restaurant, the water station, toilets & no-smoking signs,
were all created by Henry's mother
Jane Ford.
During the hot summer months, you can enjoy your food & drink outside on
the terrace,
perfect to enjoy the sunshine through the day, or to relax as the evening draws
in.
